Embraer projects growth in jet deliveries and celebrates end of American tariffs

The manufacturer plans to have between 160 and 170 executive jets in 2026, compared to 155 last year, with a portfolio of US$7.8 billion. The end of the US surcharge, which cost $80 million, takes a burden off the executive branch.

The Phenom 300 remains the executive division's volume driver and anchors the growth projection for 2026.

Embraer projects to deliver between 160 and 170 executive jets in 2026, an increase of around 6% over the 155 units in 2025. The division's backlog closed last year at US$7.8 billion, up from US$7.4 billion in the previous period, and the segment's revenue in the fourth quarter jumped 20%, to US$750 million. Today, business aviation accounts for around 30% of the company's entire revenue.

The biggest relief, however, came from the commercial front. The tariffs imposed by the United States, which came into effect from April 2025, cost Embraer US$80 million — and 85% of this burden fell precisely on the business jet division, whose production passes through the United States. The surcharge was terminated in February 2026, removing uncertainty surrounding the operation's margins.

The executives' reading is one of resilience. President Francisco Gomes Neto attributed the performance to "continuous and stronger demand" and the strength of the portfolio. Financial director Antonio Carlos Garcia was more direct when summing up the company's philosophy: the same percentage volume was delivered as the previous year, he said, which shows that, "with tariffs or with crisis, there is always a way to compensate".

Behind the numbers there is a silent industrial gain and the new generation of products. Embraer claims to produce an aircraft today in half the time it took in 2021, and is betting the next cycles on the recently certified Praetor 500E and 600E. For the Brazilian buyer, the message is twofold: the national manufacturer enters 2026 with financial strength and without the tariff friction that increases the bill — a condition that tends to be reflected in deadlines and availability.
