Bluetail launches AI-powered aviation records management system

The platform automatically organizes scanned documents in chronological order and allows searches in seconds in maintenance files of any size. The focus is on Part 91 and Part 135.

Bluetail launched on June 4 a significant update to its aviation records management platform: an AI-based system that receives any scanned document — handwritten or printed — and automatically organizes the content in chronological order within the digital logbook. The launch was announced at AIN Online and complements the AI layer that the company has been adding to the platform since the beginning of the year.

The practical difference lies in two resources. The first is automatic organization: upon receiving a batch of scanned documents, the system identifies the type of record, date, aircraft and engine related, without manual intervention. The second is Mach Search, the platform's search module, which locates any specific entry — services performed, wiring diagrams, paint codes, inspection details — in seconds, regardless of the size of the history file.

For Part 91 and Part 135 operators, the problem Bluetail solves is concrete: maintaining disorganized paper records or PDFs creates a real bottleneck during audits, aircraft sales and compliance renewals. A search that took hours becomes a query that takes a few seconds. In purchase and sale transactions, the quality of documentation directly influences the residual value — and a well-organized and consultable file is already beginning to appear as a due diligence item.

The platform operates under the SaaS model, with cloud, and is available to business aviation operators. Bluetail did not disclose pricing or the number of active customers at launch.
